Hi. im making an active highpassfilter for my subwoofer, and i just wondered wether i should connect the ground (or negative pole?) from the source (main amp) via the filter on its way to the sub-amp, or not?
here's the filter: http://www.sound.westhost.com/project99.htm

If the subsonic filter is housed in it's own box no special grounding precautions should be needed, other than general good grounding principles. Additional ground straps should not be needed.
Nonsense. Those op-amps are fine and I have used loads of them myself without an issue.

In my experience you should use something like BB OPA134PA, BB OPA627, LM 4562, AD825 or AD 8065/8066.
