Also no cooling slots as with these boxes...but one could drill a biggish hole in the back or top ...and use stainless mesh like shown here on these ikea jobbies.

You are welcome. Some more inspiration from Ikea boxes.

why would you want to use a non-magnetic material ? isn't it better to use iron covers to provide some level of magnetic shielding ?
Better depends on the situation I suppose. I don't have issues with hum. That said. Look at the high end transformers: Brass end bells, copper shrouds. Naked.

WHY would anybody fit a transformer (hint, they dissipate heat, lots of it) inside a THERMALLY INSULATING box is way beyond me.
Mechanically flimsy too, so what´s the point?

I regularly buy cheap bamboo “organizer” boxes from Amazon and use them as shells for some small portable/Bluetooth speakers. I always cover/wrap them in some sort of Tolex or vinyl, and fot the most part they’ve worked really well!

Another amp built in an Action bamboo box. This time Decware Zen clone
While I personally don't care much for the Bamboo Transformer covers I love the Bamboo chassis and as to the picture above of the Zen clone and Salas 6V6, even if it was not making sound I could just sit and look at them in awe. Maybe one day I will make something that looks as nice (but I doubt it).
Great work Bas!
