Those of you who have used and/or have Ace's 63mm spherical reflector...
how do you like it?
How was the performance (brightness) increase from either no reflector at all or a cheaper spherical reflector (such as a soup ladle)?
For those of you who have tried spherical reflectors at F2 (the second focus aka half radius) to reflect parallel light...how does Ace's compare in just reflecting light back to the source (F1, focus at the radius)?
Thanks for the help...I'm just debating whether I should buy his, or stick with my old ohp's reflector or soup ladle (my ohp reflector actually seems to work quite well, but better is always...well...better, so I'm hoping Ace's is!)

First up I gotta say I have never used a "soup laddle" for a reflector. IMHO anything that is designed for use with food products aint going to be optimal for a reflector, granted it serves up soup well but it aint going to reflect light optimal....It WILL fry ya bulb, heat the hell out of your condesnser in no time and if that aint enough you get blurred light aswell, you just have too look at the shape of them too see that! Hyperthetically speaking..if you were selling plans for...uhm i dunno lets say a 15inch PJ and wanted to increase your sales in lamps hell yes recommend uhm hyperthetically speaking of course a norpro! They will reflect light and make the image better than without using anything at all no doubt, if you want to sacrifice lamp life by all means use a soup laddle 🙂
Something I have tried and can testify to is a 63mm spherical reflector...aligned correctly in the arch of the MH it produces an extremely bright, sharp projected image, and its a great small compact size...IMHO its worth the purchase
Hope this helps in your decision on a reflector..good luck with the build mate 😉

Do they have spherical reflectors there? I'm checked the store but I don't see any listed.
Thanks!
