Help!
I see some postings about the Acer fp855. I read the ones about the bad capacitors causing strobing. My problrm is different, When mine powers up it has thick black vertical lines accross the screen. they stay till it gets warm then they begin to flicker in and out at crazy color varieties then hold at grey or black. as i tap the sides of the monitor they cycle black and grey then finally disappear. So i took it apart, the capacitors on the power supply look fine. this is where it gets strange, i touch the data connector ribbons at the top and it automatically straightens up. i let go and it has lines. I took the magnets off of the data connectors and pushed them in all the way. turned it off for a while, came back and turned it on an hour later and it was fixed! came back in this morning and it did the same old thing. Hmmmmmm........any help would be greatly appreciated.
