Well, pity about DIY, but well... you answered that one.
Given the price range I wouldn't buy anything without trying first at my home, in my system. That can usualy be done against caution money.
Oh...and I don't know what sonic direction you wish perhaps (?) your system to take or what you want to address, but I would give a Pass amp a try - but that's just me...
Sorry for the little help

i think the X60.8 is within the same price range. Will go check it out.
normally is difficult to get a house demo and close to impossible for an audition my speakers in the deal shop as well.
The dealer of my revel is also offering the ML. Which i audited the 534 with the F228Be, is a bit bright compare to their No. 53 mono (demo set).
and the Accuphase E800 was driving the KEF blade.
this is all over the place... so was hoping someone in this forum that had heard those amplifier in the same system before. 🙂
Maybe reading the resp. Stereophile tests might give you some additional decision support.need some advise...

not sure if Accuphase A class amps gettng better, but my expierence with them were horrible- slow, dull, bloated bass. they reming me mchictosh both sonicaly and estheticaly. - nice to look at, well built. but thats all. better look at class AB from accuphase which are pretty nice.
Yes!!... this is what i heard when the E600 was driving the KEF blade.not sure if Accuphase A class amps gettng better, but my expierence with them were horrible- slow, dull, bloated bass. they reming me mchictosh both sonicaly and estheticaly. - nice to look at, well built. but thats all. better look at class AB from accuphase which are pretty nice.
than when they switch to the E800, the bass was much more controlled
i guess i just need some 3rd party confirmation on what i heard during the demo. It was my childhood dream to own a Accuphase 🙂
going to listen the Pass Labs this weekend. It is also cheaper than both the A75 and No534
Thanks for the advise!!!
You are welcome... let perhaps the seller recommend you what Pass amp could suit your tastes/wishes and "go well" with your (quite popular) speakers - from an electrical POV they will all do, I mean re sound caracter of course.
Regardless the make, I am not sure that "far more $$" translates always in "far better" for a given system, and Pass offers on some products different flavours that may suit you, who knows...
Have fun comparing and purchasing, and let us know your findings!

thank you for all the advice.. 🙂
just got delivery of the XA60.8...... WOW!!! very happy with the sound.
Very much better than bi-amp or bridge mode from my 851W.
