Hi folks,
I hope we have some Accuphase freaks in here! 🙂
Ok, I recently bought an old Accuphase E-205 amplifier with some minor problems for a modest price and I'm now trying to refurbish it.
I found problems in the volume potentiometer (cracks & hum) and oxidation of the input selector switches. The latter is not a problem, but the hum & cracks.
Anybody here with the schematic for the E-205? I can offer Revox & Nak literature.
Thanx!
regards,
Alex

Hum & noise of potentiometer can be consequence of heavily oxidated volume control , or bad solder poin combinet with some DC on output(center) legs of pot , probably from next amp stage.
I don´t have scheme , but this is common problem for all amps with this simptoms.

Hmmm... I do not think you hit the right forum😀 Nonetheless here goes: You could try to give the pot a good wash with contact cleaener🙂 Just give it a blast ,turning back and forth with the cleaner in. In most cases that solves the problem😉 If not let us know!Ok, I recently bought an old Accuphase E-205 amplifier with some minor problems for a modest price and I'm now trying to refurbish it.
