I would like to build my own internal mic set for an accordion. I was thinking of 3 panasonic electret mce 2002 in the treble end and one of the same in the bass end.
I would like to have a stereo output so I can control each end. There is limited room on the treble end but I will be able to have a battery in the bass side. Can anyone help with a wiring diagram..? And an advice would be apreceated..
I have looked at the musitec mt 04 n [on ebay] and would like a similar type of thing but to expensive for me.

Sound Pressure Level inside an accordion is quite high, so I think you need to do the "Linkwitz mod" to these capsules to have a better chance of getting undistorted signals. You can google this, or look here:

Linkwitz mod halfway down page

or see the attached file below. The mic you mention is a three terminal device but comes with two terminals connected together. By cutting the small track on the back of the mic, you can connect to each separately and improve performance, including maximum sound level before distortion. Each mic must then be wired with the small circuit shown in the picture, a 10k resistor and a 2.2uF capacitor.

One 9v battery will easily suffice for several microphones, just connect all the drains (terminal 1) to the battery +ve, and the earth connections to the -ve.

What you do with the signals from the outputs depends on you. You'll probably find that some mic positions are louder than others. You need to mix them together in the right proportions to get a balanced sound, then feed them to a suitable amplifier. A suitable mixer circuit would be very simple. Or you could bring them out separately and go into a little mini mixer.
