ACA connection

Hi ... do I need to load the unused channel of my ACA if I have one amp driving one speaker (it's a tri amped horn system)?
I do not want to run in mono.

just take care of putting shorting RCA plug in input, to save it of flying Gremlins

Hi ... using ACA amps (Aliexpress circuit board type) one per speaker (so far 6, two more coming) they sound great, but now want each in mono. I cannot find a way to run these in mono, wired
externally. I'm sure it's here hidden somewhere. Can anyone help?

Unfortunately, anyone can produce a circuit board and write "Pass" on it. That does not make it an official Pass product.

6L6 .. Tried, only saw mono for the case type which has a mono switch.

Original ACA boards are mono boards. 1 board is used for 1 channel of audio amplification.

Not sure exactly what Aliexpress sold you. Are two channels on 1 board? Can you just not stuff the 2nd channel?

From his question about the "unused channel" in the first post, my guess is the OP has a stereo "ACA" and now wants to convert it into mono.

We don't know what mode of mono operation he's considering, but assuming the circuit of his amp is faithful to the actual ACA, then the info on wiring and various modes of operations in the ACA build guide (e.g.: https://guides.diyaudio.com/Guide/Amp+Camp+Amp+V1.8+Change+Information/10 ) would be a good place to start.

Didn't know that, thx. Good chance they cannot be converted. Think I'd be better off just using one amp channel per speaker. Listening at low levels and mono may not help at all.

At this point I’m more curious about the PCBs / amp you are using, can you post a few photos?

Also, even if it’s a single PCB for stereo, the modes can still be made to happen.

6L6 ... This is the amp(s) (Pass ACA class A) that I purchased from AliExpress. Searched, but not found a schematic.
If I wasn't clear, I would like to use in mono to power one speaker, not both channels bridged.

Aha! It’s an unauthorized copy of an ACAmini. Not an ACA.

Parallel the inputs and outputs for mono.

Thanks, but R and L inputs gives a summed mono. That was my problem.
I need a seperate R & L.

Parallel both in and out with jumpers but only connect a single input?

feed it the same channel on both L & R inputs. feed both outputs to the same speaker driver.
