About the THD of STK4182 and an amplifier that uses it

I have a strange questio to do about the Integrated Amplifier STK4182
In his data sheet , the manufacturer says that the THD is about 0.4%. But this same chip is used in the Stereo Amplifier Sony model TA-F100 , in wich Sony says that the THD is about 0.05%

It is possible making an Amplifier with a THD of 0.05% using a chip who have a THD of 0.4 % ?

I leave both files : the first sheet of the Service Manual of the Sony Amplifier and the Data sheet of the STK4182

The entire manual of the SONY amp cannot upload because is very heavy.

Look at the module data sheet, THD in the 10W to full power region is low, THD at 1W is much higher. The amplifier spec is a full power measurement
It is not clear from the module datasheet if the low power measurement is caused by noise or is actual crossover distortion
The rising distortion at 20 kHz implies it is crossover.

The V part is roughly x2 better. The Sony amplifier is careful to select a good measurement point
The distortion of both modules is low enough that it would be hard to hear. With this sort of module the limitations are more about how it handles real world reactive loads,
power supply and layout

One question more. What would you do if you would want making a power stage with this chip? Would you copy the application note from the data sheet or would you copy the power stage from the scheme taked from the service manual of SONY? I have this chip from a long time ago mixed with my "electronic trashes" and I would like do with it a power stage for boosting a subwoofer...

Thank you in advance for you responses.

Regards from Argentina.
