Earlier in the Le Monstre Preamp thread, we posted schematics and spice files for 3 different line level buffers.

They all have JFET inputs and use 4 complementary transistors in total.
We have now built and measured them all, as shown in the pdf attached.

Even though we were using a much simplified of the Danyuk buffer, the performance is VERY similar to the original version.

Both the JLH and the (simplified) Danyuk are really great buffers.

People say, why keep using unobtanium JFETs ?
Apart from that they sound good (to me at least), they provide a high input impedance.
So you have no problems driving them with any volume attenuator.
