A relatively big modular poweramp...

This poweramp project was a result of my need for a bigger amp (with gain) than the projects Nelson Pass have described in the Zen projects and the First Watt projects.

All building blocks have been found on this forum, and adapted to these specific needs.

I have attached a document with schematics and pictures. The text format is relatively short with no description of how the circuits work, a consequence of my writing skills.

Enjoy.

Since you have a small F5, tell us how your amp compares with your F5, apart from power. You should get a thumbs up from the Master himself.

In my application the F5 sounds good, but smaller and with less control. Remember that this application is driving a pair of JBL 2245 (18") woofers below 240Hz, and that is probably not the best use of a small F5.

Papa have read through the document before this publication.

So are you saying that your bigger amp module has more control than the small F5? I guess that is expected.

But how about connecting it to a more normal load, like a full range or 2-way speaker and comment about the sonic qualities of your amp as compared to your small F5.
