Good morning all, I'm a newbie here but after a bit of fortune last night I think I might have found myself a new hobbie...
Last night as i pulled into my drive, sitting on top of the rubbish bin I spied two black HiFi seperates. Strange I thought and on examination i noted that one was a Denon tuner and the other a Marantz CD recorder.
I took them upstairs and tried them both out, the Tuner works beautifully and the Marantz DR6000 powers up nicely but the CD drawer doesn't eject [in fact, the draw and spindle don't do anything - even though the display does].
I took the lid off the CDR but couldn't see anything wrong [no loose wires or cables anyway]. Seeing as it's still winter here in London and we're due lots of rain over the next week or so, I feel i could do with a project...
anybody have any advice on how to get this piece of kit going - the thought of digitising my vinyl collection quite appeals and by all acounts this CDR is quite good. After I've got it working, what upgrades are advisable?
Any help you can give will be muchly appreciated. If not, any advice on who repairs such kit would also be appreciated.
Ta,
Nick

Hi Nick and welcome to the forums. Can't help with the gear but it sounds like a nice score.
