The IRS20124S device's integrated adjustable dead time, bidirectional overcurrent sensing and other features protect the amplifier system. The built-in optional dead time generation circuit thermally compensates for stability and has immunity to noise and supply voltage fluctuations to improve total harmonic distortion THD. The IRS20124S has built-in bidirectional current sensing and an integrated shutdown function to protect the output MOSFET in the event of an overcurrent condition such as a shorted speaker lead.
