A DIY DAC that's easy and doesn't cost TOO much.

I am almost a DIY begginer and I would like to build a DAC. I am thinking of buying PCB and parts from mdlover to do his simple I/v DAC based on TDA1543 and CD8412 i think. Maybe you've already seen this. How do you think it will sound. Should I go for it or what do you propose?

Sorry this isn't answering your question but I just ordered the DACkit from www.scott-nixon.com. I will give it a whirl when I receive it and will be happy to post my feedback once it is built. It will cost a little over €100 for the kit without case or PS.
