833 and GU-48

Hello..
I test at Vp= 980 V , Ip= 120 mA and Grid connect to Gnd.
Plate no shows an orange-red colour

my GU48 does....

Hi Eugeny,

funny....at those voltage (some more current) my GU48 does show some reddish colour.

I noticed your wire-size of the filaments: maybe i'm mistaken but those look incredible small. It's 10V/10A were talking here.
If your wire gets warm....you know you are firing up your GU48 not at the intended 10V/10A....but less.....

In what kind of amp you're going to use this triode ?

The GU48 is a real bass-monster, but not as detailed in the heighs as American or Chinese 833's. But for the price....who complains ?
