813 Alternatives

Hello, I was wondering if anyone with more experience with vacuum tubes knew of any alternatives for the 813 vacuum tube. I was hoping I could find something with a price tag below $20.00, and preferably manufactured by either the Svetlana or Novosibirsk Electronics Corporations that is still in production. I was going to use them in this: Champ CBA-1000 Amplifier - Schematic Diagram. Thanks for any input you may have!

Shuguang sell carbon plate 813's.
I think they are more than $20.00.
I have had no trouble with My 813's; I also use a lot of shuguang 572B's for Audio amps; I have found they are better than the Russian made one's, so long as you match them.
Phil

Do not use the shuguang 813 carbonplate they sound lifeless. The shuguang FU13 with ribbed plates is the one to use.

The one in the middle.

The 813's are going to be one of the least expensive parts on any 813 amp😀

The QB3-300 tetrode could potentially work, its in the same ballpark 125W dissipation versus the 100W of the 813 it is however spec'd for A2 operation.

Face it, if you are unwilling to shell out a little more than 2x the price of a EL34 for a 100W tetrode you are being unrealistic.
