Hi All, looking for some guidance, advice.
I was cleaning up my office and found these, I can't even remember where I got them. They're marked Amperex 7788 made in Holland *PQ* Premium Quality.
My daily driver is an Anthem Pre2L SE preamp, I know I can use the 6922 & 6dj8 types of tubes safely.
Are these 7788 types safe to try ? They are quite a bit taller and heavier than the others, and is there a place that list interchangeability of tubes. I've been looking but maybe I'm searching the wrong way.

The 7788 are not interchangeable with the 6DJ8 or any related dual triode tube.
The 7788 is a very high transconductance pentode.

6DJ8/ECC88 is a dual triode designed for low noise high slope cascode VHF tuners. 7788 is a pentode. No intechangeability at all.
And thank you Os, the plan was to this Sunday pop the top on my pre and tube roll the 4 quad sets I have, rate them & leave the best set until they die, seal the others and put them away until needed.
Probably going to have a few cocktails so you guys definitely helped me out here.
Audiowize, sent you a message. I have no use for these.
