7" 1280-1027 16x9 LCD Panel

Hey everyone,

I've visited the forum a couple times and noticed the search for the holy grail of LCDs. I think I've found a workable solution.

It is 800*480 native 16x9. $470 US.

On to finding a good light source...

What about the Xenarc model 700v?
Very good stats and a couple of hundred dollars cheaper.
If it can be used for this project that is the one I will be using.

Yeah, that 700v looks like a better deal, but it only specifies a "DIN input" (s-video?), while the more expensive model supports VGA.

The weird thing is though, the only type of analog video connections that will give you 800x480 are VGA or component (YPbPr), and I seriously doubt that thing has DVI. So why would they sell a hi-res display that only accepts low-res video sources?

Might be worth inquiring about this with the seller for anyone interested in one of these displays.

I'm sure it accepts RGBHV (regular analog VGA). That thing is a bit pricey, but at least it's not one of those 280 horizontal line 16x9 panels people post a new link to every other week or so.
