Hi all

Could the CV358 valve be a good substitute for the Russian 6P9?
Should we make some kind of specific modification?

The 6P9/6AG7 is a Video amp with 0.65A heater and typical 30mA current.

The CV358/EF37 is an Audio amp with 0.2A heater and typical 3mA current.

At first glance, it is like sending a dog to do a horse's work. If you really need a tube as large as the 6P9, the CV358 is probably disappointing.

Thank's for your quick reply, artosalo.

Same specifications...but are sonically different or equal?.
Perhaps it could be my perception... JJ ecc83 could have identical specifications as Miniwatt ecc83, but not same sound, almost to me.

O.k I keep in mind my amp schema. (BEZ T3B -6 amplifier).

6AK7, 6AG7 and 6П9 are fully equal. Just see the specifications of all these.
