5687 as a single stage SE amp

Hi, guys. I want to build a simple SE amplifier with an output power of about ~ 1W. Can I use this tube in such a project? I'v heared verry good comments about it.

It's a great tube for a linestage or driver. You can probably get 1 watt of power out of it, but the output impedance will be very high. Bass will be soft and woolly. Probably ok to drive Sennheisers.

Yes, 6S45P-E is one realy good piece of glass 😀
Have you tried this design? The output power is quite enough for me 🙂

No I have not tried it. With the low parts count you should be able to test it easily.
