5.8" lcd [480x234] and controller confusion !!
Shinco SDP-5820 Re-use
I've got this shinco portable video player SDP-5820. I rarely every used it when it was okay. Then the hinge gave in next and it was placed in various cupboards til a few days back ...
So I took it to pieces ... to try to use the LCD for a projector.
Now for the Story - (I had to look really hard on google to find out details)
1) The player has no video input so i had to look for one inside
2) lcd resolution : 480x234 (the chinese sure know how to make odd lcds).
3) It seems to be made by a company called Toppoly
4) the LCD controller board is separate from the video- generation board.
Since this player did not have a way of accepting video input so i tried the lcd controler board.
The controller to video-generation board connector is a 12-pin affair .
Pin - 1 is
1) 8-10 V
2) ground
3-12) i dont know
I am attatching some photos
Could anyone help me figure out a way to use the lcd with external video input ??
