Hi
I think i have a very good stereo setup but I am not using it 😡 I don´t know why, but right now I am not interested to sit in the living room and just listen to music 😕
So my plan is to sell my stereo setup and buy/build a 5.1 System.
My room is around 16 m² small and rectangular.
Because I am student I have a limited Budget, I am willing to pay around 600€.
I don´t need a Subwoofer immediately, so the budget is just for the 5 speakers.
Do you have any recommendation?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

My recommendation for that budget is to buy a second-hand 5.0 or 5.1 setup. Not exactly the spirit of DIY, but you can find such good deals at 600€ price point that it´s a long stretch to build something of similar value yourself.
Good Point! I don´t have a problem to buy used stuff, actually i prefer used stuff.
Do you have any recommendation? What is good, what should I avoid?
Dali 3 in the Front and Dali 1 in the back?

I advise to listen to your existing stereo setup, no matter the sound source. Instead, to get rid of the itch you've got, pay a visit to pollin.de and choose some of the drivers listed to build yourself a center speaker for starters. The price range of these units is exactly what a student may appreciate and the technology is better than one would have assumed. The problem is in the crossover design. Without a microphone and measurement software, chances of achieveing good sound are slim.
