(would like to post problems&fixes) older equipment from ampex real to real 1957, 7" gray suitcase
full track, to revox a-77,still have ampex and 1960 haft track stereo model with conversions to stereo model/tube- note old but sound unreal good sound, compare sound with ten inch real to real ,like tube amp's, but hard to find/at trade for newer audio gear.
Love ev, jbl and university-speakers, horns -mid range ,and tweeter/also crossover net works,
three head cassettes, tascam/teac c-3, been researches to replacement's/ buy speaker boxes blown surround on woofer,(have had real good results/with infinity, jbl l40 ten 1/2" will hold ten inch with no modification, replacement sounds better/than jbl model 127a/jbl rated at 45 watt rms -2 1/2" vc 16-20 oz magnet may be 15/16" incursion ?
Cast frame.
In my opinion/not worth cost to recone if can fine jbl cone, replacement search and trail over five -one ev good bass speaker drawback cost, found sos brand speaker paper cone thick as gauos cloth role surround/2" voce coil 40 oz. Magnet 8 ome@250 watt peak-125 rms sos speaker offered cast frame- but fre.48hz-3'500hz./but same speaker punch steal frame fr. 38hz.-3'500hz. Free air 42hz. Low e bang match box as should been there first,
not boomy, deep smooth low volume and high output, use hiphop/and soul music to test at 65 watts to 100/ close to most twelve and better bass/Leslie organ speaker/with gause 15-side by side with sweater bass under house shaking- compare, inifty rs-3000 8" replace with polypropylene/1 1/2" alum vc/treated foam 16 oz. Mag. Dose the speaker rite as speaker came new,75 watts rms, note this speaker tested 5 different more costly, pay for good sound not just the name. Thank for the ear, if have any feedback please post, what have you had (work-brands/and matches to the upper~) what receivers top ten,
