couple of troubleshooting questions.

Tripath ship with heatsink gets very hot quickly with:

Inputs shorted

J2
- Pin 1&2 = awake/sleep : closed
- Pin 3&4 = mute : closed
- Pin 5&6 = AM mode : closed + closed in the other location as well

- Pin 1&2 = Sleep/Awake LED - on
- Pin 3&4 = Overload LED - off
- Pin 5&6 = Mute LED - off

plus outputs measure oddly, some give me negative values, some are positive values between 1 and 5 volts.

OK, tripath chip was toast, replaced it. Now the only problem I have is the DC output offset, the outpts measure 0.7V , 0V , 10V , 1.5 V

What could be the problem?
