400W into 8 Ohm

Hi Guys I need your input, Please

I need to build a amp capable of delivering 400W into 8 ohms, to drive 15" subs for live PA use. This will only drive 8 ohm as I shall be building the amp into the speaker.
Does anyone have such designs handy?
I do have a circuit for 800W into 4 ohm. Can I use this and just half the amount of output transistors, as the added current for 4 ohm won't be needed.
Thankyou.

Better look at classD modules. Less experimentation and easy to implement . With a smps power supply it will be much lighter and not require huge heat sinks. Surely will withstand a beating for PA use !
Some commercial PA amps are incredibly inexpensive for the power they deliver compared to DIY or commercial Hi-Fi amps.
You need to use Google and spend some time on the Net.
