Hi.
I've got an 1986 Mazda 626 with some Alpine 4" in dash speakers going off my Panasonic head unit. I notice they respond a little too well to bass and would like to add some crossovers to them to let them focus on the spectrum of sound they should be producing. I was thinking about some high pass filters at about 100-150hz, as the speakers are rated to 50hz, but I have some 6" speakers in the back and a 12" rockford fosgate sub to take care of my bass needs. What cutoff (specifically) should I go for? And where would be the best place to buy (or make) a decent filter that would not degrade the sound quality? Thanks for the help.
