I've searched all over the place and I can't find what the lumen count for this OHP is.

Now I'm wondering, is is possible to figure out the lumen ouput by knowing the the Bulb watts?

I almost bought one of those, it identical to the AI-1000 those old school OHP are usually crap(if u didnt already know lol) if u buy one buy it for retrofit only, IMO

I JUST bought the Apollo AI-1000 on Friday, but the guy on Ebay must be out for the weekend because I can't get ahold of him.
Is it really that bad? I think it takes a 600w Halogen, but I guess that is'nt nearly as strong as other bulbs guys are using. I still don't know how many lumens this projector is and I've searched everywhere, the guy selling it does'nt know either. All these companies still sell OHP's so they should be keeping information available for this stuff 😡
I saw someone on this board who built their OHP LCD with the AI-1000 and it turned out great, I can't remember his username right now though........

ebay isnt out, im getting replies on ebay.
it takes 600w w DYS 17,000 lumens, but the OHP is about 5,000 lumens maybe more or less but its damn bright. No this OHP isnt THAT bad, im using one i know MANY ppl who have them, but im not using the DYS bulb i retrofitted mine with HQI and will be getting a triplet lens soon. I hope you retrofit it too bcuz this baby is HOT!!!! it will burn ya if ur not careful lol😉

The OHP total was $56.00 excluding S&H.
Finding an LCD Panel has been pretty difficult to say the least. I was zeroed in on a QA 1650 for $149, I emailed the guy on EBAY about it but he never replied and somebody else got it with the Buy it now feature. Imagine how ****ed I was about that. I would have bought it if he had just answered my questions. The company is called Firebuy, I'll stay away from them in the future.
I wanted a QA-2500 but that sucker was up to $300 and I'm not trying to spend that much. Best of the best though.
I don't want to spend more than $175 including S&H, but these guys want a mint for these things. Since we have communities like these there are more and more guys building these OHP LCD's, the bidding has become fierce!
Can't knock those guys for being smart and saving money though..... I'm trying to do the same thing, LOL.
