Hi everyone I'm new... I want to connect the an aux cord from and MP3 player and wire that into an rj9. I just want one way mono audio going from the aux to rj9. I'm thinking of taking the audio wires from both cords and twisting them together...will this work? Do I need some special circuit for this?

Use two resistors so the two outputs don't fight each other.

Depending on output drive capabilities the resistors could be 100-1000 ohms.
