Hello
I few months ago I was looking for info about wavecore tweeters and could not find any usefull info. I decided to get one (is cheap enough) and pair it with usher 8948. The crossover is in 90% finished (as all my projects 😛). Enclosure is 17L br. I was bit worried about very high impedance spike on the wavecore tw at 700Hz - there prapobly would be recommended rcl network to flatten it down but so far I didnt noticed any harshness maybe version v2 will have it.

I am really suprised with middrage quality of usher midwofer, very neutral and pleasend. The wavecore tweeter turned out to be very good smooth. Price/value ratio IMHO is very good.
Now I know why usher is using 8948 as a midrage driver in some of their speakers.

borys,

interesting build you have there! It must have been a lot
of work needed to make something like that. Thanks for
sharing. The graphs of yours, were they measured or
simulated ? How much did you pay for the Wavecors ?

The wavecores are availible here for 33eur each

The graps were taken in my kitchen (a bit narrow) so it was hard to do correct measurements. Bellow few more pictures from build. It was preatty easy in fact, only few 3mm mdf boards and jig saw. If someone need I have cad drawing for making templates - after that is only LEGO job to put it back together.
