probably yes you need to re adjust the bias though .... but unless you have better or bigger power supply plus enough driving for them there is not going to be any serious improvement
Output transistors is the wheels of your car getting better ones will improve stability (same in an amplifier ) but will not improve performance ( same in an amplifier ).... to improve performance you need to work in the engine ( same in an amplifier ) when you are done with the improvements it is expected fuel consumed to increase together with some more temperature ....same in an amplifier !!!!!!

Have to agree, the improvement is not great but it is there. These are ring emitter devices, they are faster and slightly more linear especially the hfe. This means that your drivers will actually work less so expect lower temperatures in the drivers and output transistors but this depends on how the design was made too.
Okay if anyone wants the Toshiba parts, I am positive they aren't fake because I have run them pretty hard 🙂 How much more peak to peak voltage will I need? +80 -80?
