I want to try out .22 uf Auricaps as coupling caps in my push-pull 300B amp, but the schematic specifies .25 uf. Is this an OK thing to do?
Well, if it's just coupling caps between stages or on inputs, I don't see why you can't vary the value. It really wont make a difference to the amplifier except drop the frequency response by a hair or much less... I'd try it for sure!
You can drop or raise a mF or two, just don't put in lower voltage caps or bad thigs will start to happen.
Good to mention that, always strive to get a cap that's the same voltage as the original or even higher which is better.
