Greetings to all the lovers of music and audio out there. I'm interested in loudspeakers from the point of view of minimum phase designs and single driver approaches. I'm putting some jordan jx92s drivers into boxes shortly-this forum has been a big help. I'm also interested in passive line level crossovers. I'm think I'm also a bit of a computer novice compared to others in this forum so I hope I don't confuse things too much at first. Good to see aussies involved in the forum. To all the members from wherever- have a nice one!

diyAudio is Ozian in origin, and the chief warp engineer is from Queensland...

Welcome to the forum! I used to have a pair of JX92s drivers in small cabinets, and I loved them. I recently sold them to a friend, and am missing them now.

They are delicate drivers, so be careful! I love the imaging that they offer.

thanks for all the welcomes, much appreciated. Planet 10 asked me what sort of boxes for the jx92s i was building. Well, originally i intended to build a transmission line like the one on the jordan website, but after scouring the web ,I found so many choices. I was interested in robert jone's esg2/jx92s design, but i wonder if I can afford to build them(good subwoofers are expensive!) and whether I really need to play them that loud. However, it does sound like the most dynamic design I've seen. So at the moment, having got the wood to work and the drivers (and not so much time away from kids and work) I'm still in the design phase. I was interested in the comments you made that the jx92s sounded a bit 'hinky' to your ear. can you comment a bit on your experience with this? I think I can see what you mean, at higher volumes in my trials in an existing box I've had I've found them a bit stretched to produce clean top end. mmmmmmm. what to do. A big horn like the j-low (pass labs)? Usually one turns up the volume on many speakers to squeeze more bass and....result-distortion. I'm seriously considering building a 'completely nuts' big mouthed horn with a length of at least 4 or 5 metres. I've never heard a horn like the hedland-do they sound any good?
