1khz square wave

This is a 1khz square wave from my integrated SoundMax HD T61p laptop...

Hmmm. Doesn't look very pleasant. I believe, at 16/44, this is a correct square wave of 1 kHz.

😀 😀 Like this. The laptop is just what I would expect. Can I ask what you THOUGHT it might look like. You won't see a squarewave from anything other than a proper Lab function generator etc.

Not really enough bandwidth for the required fourier series for a decent 1kHz square wave, and I doubt either the digital FIR or analog post filtering are up to snuff either.

Try a 100Hz square wave or for real fun a 10kHz sinewave, my laptop can't even produce a recognizable sine at 10kHz..
