Hello everyone just wanted to say hello as... I am the new guy in town.
Tried a search on this forum for this bulb but could not find it...
Let me know what you all think... would this bulb work for a light source in a DIY Projector?
Might be too blue. You can't really say; evenness of spectrum is also something you have to look at. Typically you'll want a light in the 5000K-6500K range. It'll be a daylight bulb, something that has plenty of power distributed through the whole spectrum.
Ideally we'd have a light source that only produced spikes in the spectrum corresponding to the filters in our LCDs. That would be very bright for a lower wattage, since we wouldn't be throwing away a lot of the spectrum.
