18" sono sub?
I've got a set of McCauley 6174 18" drivers. They are now in 10 cubic foot cabinets, powered by a Crown MA2400
I want to build a set of sono subs now. So, If I build a set off 22" tubes with 10 cu/ft, with the drivers down firing, can I put the vents out the top? and will I need to subtract the vent cu/ft from the tube volume?
Any vent size suggestions?

I've built 2 sonosubs with 18" drivers and .....
First of all use a 24" sonotube; you'll need the extra room to get some feet on the bottom. As far as the port goes you will probably need at least a 6" diameter port or maybe even a 8", do some simulations in WinISD (Freeware), and try and keep the port velocity down below 18m/s.
