17" HDTV Long Throw

I have been doing research, and finally went ahead and bought parts.

I will be getting the following:

400w coil ballast and 400w GE MH bulb (35mm arc length) $50+$17 (without base)
Ikea napkin reflector - $7
395mm x 395mm 220mm FL Condenser DIYPC fresnel - $30
17" Dell 1703fp (600:1 contrast, 25ms) - $140 (mislabeled on eBay & w/out casing)
320mmx400mm 550mm FL Hires Field 3dlabs Fresnel - $40
135mm diameter 450mm DIYPC triplet - $129
Custom casing: $30(esimated)
Total:
So overall this thing is costing a bit, but I think it will be worth it.
I will post my results in this thread, but feel free to criticize my parts selection.

Just a little warning ahead of time... It'll be more than $30; especially if you want to make it out of something aside from MDF or plywood.

I've spent about $100 on wood for framing and mounting. I'll probably spend another $50 on the box. Of course, I'm using poplar for the framing (very good wood to work with) and probably redwood for the box.

you can decrease a bit the cost by buying an opaque projector lens 135mm diameter and 450mm focal from ebay (20-50$ including shipping) which are the same then the diypc one and why not order all fresnel from 3dlens.

Yeah I am having trouble finding a opaque lens for significantly cheaper, but am trying. As far as the building supplies go, I probably will spend more than 30, but Im not going to be super picky about quality, so probably not more than 50 or so.
