150w for 15.6 LCD

I have a 250watt MH and 15.6 widescreen LCD.

The box gets really very hot and want to know if I could use a 150watt MH instead of 250w

Will this work or continue with the 250w

Please advise

you will need a 150 watt ballast to go with it but the only difference is less power(and less light and less heat)
your display will probably be roughly half the brightness, add more fans instead?
