15 Watt Class A with EXICON Lateral MOSFETs - John Linsley Hood style

Here is my suggested circuit with EXICON Laterals:


The power supply should use Transformer 2x15VAC
which gives around 40VDC after rectifier.

This is the 4 Watt version.
Needs only 14 Watt Cooling heatsink.
The distortion is only THD 0.014% at 1kHz 1 Watt.

JLH style output with mosfet, I would suggest adding another resistor 680 to the upper mosfet across gate and source. It can actually work in class B, you might have already find out. Even in class B, the distortion is still acceptable.
I also suggest adding a Miller cap that including output stage. It solves the stability issue completely and it won’t affect thd too much as the OPT is inside the Miller loop.
I have a similar design like this with differential input stage.

I will not add 680ohm across GS of the upper mosfet. It changes too much of the bias of mosfet.
I don't think there is needed Miller cap. But I might reconsider this.

I added a 22pF Miller cap.

Power supply should be transformer 2x15VAC.
The distortion is low.
Output is more than 15 Watt.
