15" TFT with a max res of 1280x1024 (SXGA)
Hi. First off I'd like to say this forum is a great resource for homemade projector building, I probably would never have built mine (which I'm very pleased with) at all if it wasnt for this forum.
Right. My projector is the THG style TFT monitor on top of an OHP. It's great, but the problem is the 15" LCD I'm using only just fits everything on screen, I have to use PowerStrip to get everything on, which is great. However the max res of 1024x768 is quite restrictive, especially for windows use and for games.
I'd like to replace it with a monitor with a max res of 1280x1024, however I can only find 17" monitors and larger which support this res. It's not really possible to just get a 17" LCD and use powerstrip to shrink the image all the way down, because I'd have to rebuild my enclosure.
So - does anyone know of any 15" TFT monitors with a max res of 1280x1024, suitable for use in a projector?
