thanks for all replies!

one more qns, the X150.5 12V trigger has same configuration as speaker out, i.e 1 Red and 1 Black terminal, and looks like it only takes spades.

some of the pre amp only has a single 1/8" mini plug 12V trigger out.. how to I connect it to the Red/Black terminal of the X150.5?

thanks

Make a custom cable. Verify this, but usually the front portion of a mini plug is plus and the longer section near the base is ground.

thanks dw8083

one more qns.

understand that the 12V trigger terminals of the X150.5 draws current of about 5mA. can i supply a output of 12V and 2.5A to it? will it cause any damages to the amp?

Thanks

The trigger circuit will draw the current it needs and having a PSU that can supply more is just overkill.

Perhaps you are using the 12vdc for other purposes as well? You could always build a second 12vdc regulator hanging off the rectifier of your larger 12vdc supply. It does not appear the trigger circuit needs to be regulated. The specification for this amp states 9-15vdc at 5ma.
