I've been looking at the 8" SLS one but they also have 10"s not too bad value here in the U.K.

For home use, the Dayton RS HF series look like a good bargain. I would have bought one already if my ACI SV10 wasn't still going strong.
Depends on where you are. For instance, In Australia, the Peerless XXLS are better value than the Dayton RS.
An 830452 can easily work in 25L, sealed, and with a well placed parametric EQ of +6dB @ 26Hz, I was able to achieve an F3 of 23 Hz:
