hi, i bought this lcd panel on ebay for under $20. It came in a sealed bag, lcd & driver board. Can anybody give me some input regarding how i can get the cables for it and if it could work for a home-made projector? i have pinouts if it helps

Can you post the details on both the panel and the controller? I've found the pinouts for the panel but no specs on performance. I'm interested in the controller mostly, it may be that you can run other panels on this controller.

details of goldstar lcd

i found a page on inside-usa.com support that has a cable number, so i'll try calling tomorrow. I saw this panel listed for $120 on one site, $135 on another.

this is everything i can find about the panel:
tft color display
10.4"
800x600
20 bit color
100 Cd/m2
5 volts
fpum-1
ac-1
bios GLD LCA4SE01A, GLD LCA4SE01A-2


after looking around some more, it looks like this is used as a laptop lcd, does that mean i can't use it for anything else?

I'm using a laptop screen, that's why I was so interested in your controller. If you can get me any info at all on the controller I may be able to help you a bit more. My laptop screen works awesome for a projector. If you can work out the details it just might work as well for you as mine has for me 😉

controller

thanks for your help. i havent found anything new so far. i'm somewhat clueless as to what type of info to look for re: the controller. i tried calling the manufacturer once before and gave up on their customer service.
