Very Simple, Almost Universal, Speaker Protection Circuit

Please be patient with us for a little while. We want to make things perfect. For example whether to include the SMD MOSFETs already soldered on the boards. They are a bit tricky to hand solder. But thank you for your interest, Patrick

Help with W-One ladder relay attenuator remote control

Hi Jim, firstly to make things clear. I am no way affiliated to the aliexpress shop nor the original designer. I am a friend of Patrick who has helped Patrick communicate and purchase of the said step pots used in his Pre-Amps, even requested for custom firmwares. From my communication with...

Many many thanks to Fran again who has been testing the latest version in his F5EXC with +/-50V rails over many evenings. He also repeated the trigger timing test multiple times at +/-12V, +/-25V and +/-50V to confirm that they are consistent with the design values. Patrick

Mini speaker - Japanese 100 Yen shop "Daiso" - 300 Yen speaker's modified model

There is a horn kit being sold in Japan for the Daiso as well : https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/jp/auction/yahoo/input/j1120985090/ Seems the Daiso is crazy popular there. Patrick

Mini speaker - Japanese 100 Yen shop "Daiso" - 300 Yen speaker's modified model

It depends on the sound level of course. And he is probably using the original amplifier. The drivers are good enough for full range at near field, for me. Just need bass boost. Patrick

    An F5 with laterals

Patrick, I bought a stash of these 2sk175 + 2SJ55 Toshiba's when I worked in Canton. I totally agree; your schema is in fact an integration of F4 with F5 as driver. i like that. Great. Bien conçu.

...dominant over another. If you reduce C1 by 10x, and increase R1,2 by 2~3x, the delay by R5/C1 is reduced by 10x, and the triggering time will be almost entirely dependent on the input DC voltage. The minimum trigger DC voltage is approximately : 1.2V + (0.05mA) X (R1 + R2 + R11 + R12) Patrick

    An F5 with laterals

Try FQP3N30/3P20 for Q26,27. You will need to adjust R72/74 for proper biasing of the second stage. For 4 ohm load, I would use at least 4 output pairs and 2A bias. Will only give you 32Wrms class A. Patrick .

Yes, because the switching is done at a MOSFET gate which is on at ~2V. The optocoupler used has a saturation voltage of maximum 0.4V. Patrick
