Anyone nearby with a willing curve tracer? I'd like to see actual curves for real 6336s, confirm the published plate curves, and contribute data to the developers of Spice models for valves.
Hi bondini,
I've got a uTracer and happy to help but I'm in New Zealand so you'd have to send a valve my way as a last resort option.
Kind Regards
Andrew

Hi all,
I'm Hamilton based. Coincidentally, I will be in Brisbane on Thursday for 1 day.
My uTracer is a 3+
Anode and Screen suppliers 400v
Current range 200mA
Grid Supply -50v
I don't know anything about THE 6336. Will the above specs be sufficient?
The alternative is you do it all manually on a valve tester like an Avo.
Let me know
Andrew

Beware the 5 amp heater. Tube testers that I know of will be very unhappy at any attempt to warm up a 6336.
An alternative might be to make a jig with some adjustable power supplies and plot from data points by hand.
Worth trying if you want to simulate what the tube will do at a preferred operating point, and FYI these tubes have pretty terrible sample to sample variation (I have some).
