DIY 21,5" Tonearm

How do you take a measurement to check if your tonearm is DIY built to its best?

Anyone's guess if the tonearm is actually 21.5" long?

Check the bearing friction, both horizontal and vertical.

I can confirm, I made it myself. It's carbon

So what exactly is the problem then?

no problem, just do some kind of check/measurement - if that's possible. the only one i know of is to do a microphone measurement from the speakers with the rega rb300 arm and the 21.5" one which has its own base separate from the linn sondek base.

apparently an ideal measurement of the turntable/arm is best done with an oscilloscope and a specific trace. my idea of measuring with a microphone from the speakers helps, but it is not specific.
