I'm always on the lookout for teeny speaker of ridiculous quality and a couple years back I spied these bad boys:
These i believe were called the Maximus 7s. I bought them Dan P. of CSS at a bargain price of $600. They sounded great as is....but I had other plans 😈.

Both speakers have their own icepower 100as2 amp module for proper bi-amplification and the main unit has a MINIDSP 2x4hd, ac to DC converter and a USB isolator onboard.
The boxes are made from 6mm thick plywood and the woofers & PRs have been trimmed on a tablesaw equipped with a metal blade.

I gutted the Maximus 7s and used the parts (and additional bits like amps, DSP & extra PRs) to make my own active speaker. Sorry if that wasn't clear.Where is diyaudio?
Perhaps you should post in commercial thread?
Looks pretty diy ;-D Do you think a commercial speaker would look like this:Where is diyaudio?

Why not. Looks pretty professional. Completely fooled me.

When I spoke with Dan P, he said a speaker made with that Purifi 4" woofer would only make sense if you intended to use it without a subwoofer. The reason being that there are many other capable small woofers for lots less money if you don't mind using a sub.
In my opinion, this checks out.
My goal for this system was to further demonstrate just how small a complete active system could be made and still sound like a proper hi-fi setup.
Did I succeed? Well...
The woofer has quite a bit of distortion down low and this is well known. It doesn't sound awful or anything, but the bass is a bit....thick.
All in all, I'd say this setup is small, light, convenient and sounds better than it's teeny size lets on. I am pleased with the result.
But don't be fooled: a four inch speaker isn't end-game material...not yet, anyway.
