And would be willing to help to buy something and ship to US for monetary reward (to be agreed on )?
It's a Kleinanzeigen ad ( of which I'm not a member ) and only local pickup. I need that thing like a hole in my head but I wanted it back then badly and now it's just a sentimental issue and an itch to scratch. I'd rather save that 100 Euro for bread & butter but nothing motivates more than money and I'm willing to pay for time and effort involved.
Is it big? Maybe he can be talked into shipping it to Belgium or Netherlands, just next door.

Sometimes they want to be talked into shipping (to Germany or such), because the ad is scam. Unfortunately there are lots of false ads on Kleinanzeigen.
Not only of course, I have bought multiple times on that platform successfully.

I don't know if he/she can be talked into shipping. Probably not, that's why it's affordable also it is "ugly" and in need of repair. As far as I know only few in EU and especially on wretched Island of Albion are willing to pack and ship unless it's a semi business activity and someone is making living of it. It's enough that there is no factory shipping box to absolutely exclude any thought of finding a suitable cardboard box and pack it. Filling a custom form is an impassable effort not mention that everybody is out there to scam and defraud meh
I know old friend and your service is stellar but you're not in Essen (?) and I hate taking advantage of people I like.As known I can do that service.
Well I am about 100 km from Essen but I take it can be sent to me or are you importing a BMW? 😀
People here sometimes are very reluctant with shipping stuff abroad but may be persuaded friendly to “Versand innerhalb Deutschland”.
Some nitwits really expect one to drive 300 km for a 100 Euro item. Incomprehensible but it happens.

Well... In all fairness, there're many Muricans who won't fill out a customs form either, even though it's pretty simple. It's enough that there is no factory shipping box to absolutely exclude any thought of finding a suitable cardboard box and pack it. Filling a custom form is an impassable effort

Well , once I asked for help buying Simon Yorke S-9 table which was listed at a great price. The "helper" who offered assistance called the seller and said it's legit. That was the last I heard from him and the table was sold in no time.
It's not the case with this one but the piece is collectible and rarely for sale in this finish and I alway wanted it. I'm not holding my breath but among three German guys who expressed willingness to help maybe there is a chance ? I'm not going to split hairs over 20 Euro either. If any driving is required I will cover expenses , coffee and lunch too🙂
