Hola,

Hello,
I wanted to tell you that my grandfather gave me this amplifier. Since my family knows that I like audio, they gave it to me, but the truth is that I don't know anything about it and I would like to sell it.
I've seen that these are rare but could someone guide me on how to know if it works, how much it would cost to fix it or how much I could sell it for?
Please let me know.
Caution: Do not be tempted to plug this amp into the electricity supply before you have received expert advice from this forum, or damage could result.
And note that a valve amplifier should not have an input signal applied unless a loudspeaker load is connected at its output terminals.

I have found the original published circuit diagram:
Since you appear to have no knowledge of valve amplifiers I would suggest that, for your own safety, you list the amplifier as "untested" on an auction site and hope it attracts high bids from those interested in restoring vintage valve amplifiers.

P.S. The valve complement is 2 x KT66, 1 x ECC33, 1 x ECC35, 1 x GZ32. The valve locations are printed on the chassis as seen in the photographs.

Apparently, there was a later modification to the circuit:

This a single, mono power amplifier. I've seen them go for hundreds of pounds sterling. Two for stereo would be more sought after.
I hope I'm not queering mbrennwa's pitch! 😉
I serviced the stereo version of this, or possibly a pair of them. It has both positive (via the pot) and negative (via the RC network) feedback. The output valves ran really hot: I had to raise the cathode resistors to I think 750R to tame it.
Yup. Positive feedback and tubes running hot. The ones I had in for repair a while ago sounded very nice. That's why am interested in getting a pair, but this is just a lonely mono amp...
