I am refurbishing a pair of Sony SS-5050 Carbocon loudspeakers.
I wish to clean the midrange and tweeter potentiometers and I am waiting with my tin of Servisol to give them a squirt, but I cannot see how to get into them.
Advice gratefully received.

Get the dc resistance measured first, then the metall cap needs to be removed.
You can see how it's attached left and right from terminal, probably in the same manner on the other side.

Thank you, @Lojzek .
Forgive me, but I absolutely cannot see how it is attached. I think you may be talking about the metal 'strips' on the left on 1 and the right of 3. They actually continue all the way around the 360 degrees of the metal pot. If you are suggesting that all of those 'strips' need to be released, then I would understand that, and thanks.
I have a multimeter. How would I measure the resistance with three terminals (I've previously measured across + and - only, or capacitance with bipolars - 2 terminals) ?
