LEAP 4 lives!

Are you old enough to remember LEAP 4? only the best loudspeaker design program ever written IMHO.

If so and you want to bring back the good old days of DOS, you can now run it on your window machine, cracked and ready to go. Please see my post in the general loudspeaker forum for details and BTW, someone just posted a LEAP 5 crack .... Good times and thank you Chris Strham, you were brilliant and I cherish our many conversations.

Working as a loudspeaker engineer I was so frustrated "why do I gotta spend $30k for a Bruel & Kjaer machine" and "why doesn't someone make a simulator that would take the complex impedance of the speaker plus the crossover network and just do a hard voltage division to simulate the frequency response?!?"

Lo and behold, then came LEAP (and MLSSA, and LMS). RIP Chris and hell yes brilliant brilliant brilliant!!! Gone way too soon. MLSSA's Doug Rife I haven't heard of in a long time either. http://www.mlssa.com is still live but last updated 2009. Huh, Parts Express should license that software and put it out!

Ah too late...if you post a link to your post my just-ran-the-dog-around-the-Rose-Bowl tired brain would appreciate. I still have a copy of LEAP 4 (5??) and a port key and USB dongle I believe. I would LOVE to run that simulator to see what I could do with a 7' tall box. Although by now...it might a better use of my time to just pay someone to do all that!
